Our mission is to empower people in need, to become more resilient by providing therapeutic yoga, interactive music and mindfulness meditation sessions. Our sessions are designed to uplift spirits, build positive connections, and restore harmony in hearts and minds.
Our story
A Sound Life (ASL) Charity was brought to life in 2014 by the internationally renowned musicians and yoga teachers, Edo & Jo Mall Kahn. After dedicating over half a decade volunteering in a range of humanitarian projects around the world, Edo & Jo were inspired to start A Sound Life, where they could wholly focus their energy on helping and empowering people in need to become more resilient. A Sound Life provides the healing power of music, meditation and yoga, absolutely free, to people in hospitals, healthcare facilities and underprivileged communities to help them cope with adversity and stress.
In September 2015, Jo was diagnosed with stomach cancer and sadly passed away 7 weeks after her diagnosis. Jo touched thousands of lives with her heart, voice and smile. Her legacy and shining spirit live on and inspire our mission every day. We are forever grateful for the seeds of love she planted and through this experience, we’ve built a deeper level of resilience, which empowers us when helping others
