16 February 2020
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
In Yoga – Level 2/137 Devonshire St, Surry Hills NSW 2010
We’re thrilled to be running our first Yoga Training Day for our registered yoga teacher volunteers (both new and existing) for 2010!
The training day, which is a pre-requisite for all new volunteers and a fabulous refresher for long-term volunteers, will be run by ASL’s yoga teacher training provider and esteemed yoga therapist from Adore Yoga, Nikola Ellis.
Geared toward preparing ASL yoga teachers to safely, competently and confidently start volunteering in the wide range of sensitive environments we service throughout Sydney and Wollongong, this training day will cover key principles of trauma-aware yoga, as well as the foundations of ethics and self-care.
Not only is this valuable and informative training a brilliant addition to your toolkit, but it’s also a great way to connect with our beautiful ASL community. Additionally, the training day can accrue continued professional development (CPD) points. Please note, if you attend this training day we ask that all volunteers are available and committed to start volunteering with ASL following the training.
FYI: The training is free for all ASL volunteers. If you’re not yet a registered volunteer but would love to be involved in the work we are doing in the community, please get in touch and we will lead you through our easy volunteer registration process
