23 February 2019
1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
A Sound Life Dome @ The Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park, Sydney
A Sound Life (ASL) is so excited to be hosting our first training day for our fabulous registered yoga teacher volunteers (both new and existing!) for 2019 … AND IN OUR BRAND NEW HEADQUARTERS!
The workshop – which is a pre-requisite for all new volunteers and an awesome refresher for long-term volunteers – will be run by ASL’s yoga teacher training provider and esteemed yoga therapist from Adore Yoga, Nikola Ellis, on Saturday 23rd Feb from 1pm-6pm.
Geared toward preparing ASL yoga teachers to safely, competently and confidently start volunteering in the wide range of sensitive environments we service throughout Sydney and Wollongong, this training day will cover key principles of trauma-aware yoga, as well as the foundations of ethics and self-care.
Not only is this super-informative training day a brilliant addition to your toolkit, but also a great way to connect with our beautiful ASL community! Additionally, the training day can accrue a certain amount of continued professional development (CPD) points.
RSVP: If you haven’t RSVP’d as yet and would like to come along (we would love to have you!), please secure your spot by emailing our Volunteer & Program Manager, Di Timmins, at firstname.lastname@example.org asap.
WHAT TO BRING: On the day, please wear comfortable clothing, and bring along with you a printed copy of the accompanying training manual (which will be emailed to all participants a week or two prior to the workshop), pen and paper, drink bottle and an open heart! 🙂
