In 2019 we launched the first activation of the Sound Life Dome – a unique wellness and events social enterprise at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter, with 67 events positively impacting 6500 people.
During 2020/2021 we adapted in-person programs and trainings to virtual programs and expanded to Victoria and QLD. In partnership with the ADF we launched the sound mentoring program for at risk youth in Sydney and regional NSW.
KPMG was engaged by ASL in August 2020 to help calculate the social return on investment (SROI) of ASL’s music and yoga programs. This included metrics on both the participants who take part in the sessions, and also the volunteers who lead them. ASL have a dedicated team of 303 musicians, yoga teachers and meditation facilitators, who have delivered 4,416 sessions to an estimated 46,970 people in the community between 2016-2023.
ASL’s Yoga and Music Programs provide our participants and volunteers with a 965% social return on investment (with an estimated $8.5 million of benefit being generated from an overall spend of $0.875 million). For every dollar spent on the delivery of the ASL’s programs there is an estimated $9.65 benefit generated.
