Sharing yoga and music workshops with children living with HIV
For two years running ASL has shared tailored yoga and music workshops for children at Camp Good Time. The sessions are fun, engaging and empowering whilst providing the young people with tools to support them with dealing with the pressures of growing up in today’s society with a life term illness. The sessions are centered around exploring physical self-health, mindfulness, concentration, self-expression, creativity, relaxation, imagination and self-empowerment. The yoga and music sessions led by our volunteer teams allow the opportunity for the children to exchange wisdom, share in positive and engaged times and potentially lay a foundation of a yoga and music practice that they can continue at home if they wish to.
