Edo is the Co-founder/CEO of A Sound Life (www.asoundlife.org): Australia’s first charity to transform the lives of people in need through free music, yoga and meditation programs. In 2017 over 200 ASL volunteers delivered 560 free sessions across 39 facilities in Sydney, Illawarra and Northern Rivers NSW. Since ASL’s inception in 2014, thousands of of people facing hardships in healthcare facilities (hospitals, aged-care, disabilities, mental health) and underserved communities (women’s refuges, youth at-risk, underprivileged children) have experienced renewed wellbeing, personal empowerment and joy.
Edo is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and sound healing specialist. Edo is a major label music artist and was previously signed with Virgin/EMI with his bands Gelbison and Kahn Brothers, and is an APRA (Australian Perfoming Rights Association) award-winning songwriter. Edo was one half of the much loved musical duo Edo & Jo who toured extensively (performing at festivals such as Bali Spirit, Byron Spirit, Bhaktifest USA) prior to Jo’s passing in 2015. As musicians and yoga teachers they ran their own Bhakti Yoga retreats in Bali and India, as well as co-facilitated workshops and mantra training programs with renowned yoga teachers and schools around the globe. Edo and Jo’s music is an enchanting mix of Eastern mantra and Western folk-pop that is both soothing and uplifting. They have been featured in various print media including Australian Yoga Journal, Yoga Journal Germany, Australian Natural Health Magazine, Yoke Magazine, Sunday Morning Herald, Yogi Times and Indian Link.
