Join the ASL volunteer family – we have two upcoming Sound Mentoring Program Training Days, on Sunday 24 September 2023, 10-2:30pm and Tuesday 26 September 2023, 5-9:30pm, both held online over Zoom.
This training will prepare you to become a Mentor in our program, with the first music sessions kicking off in early October.
Are you 18+, love making music and want to make a positive difference to the lives of at-risk young people who aspire to become musicians in their own right?
Join us as a volunteer mentor and we will provide you with the training and guidance needed to mentor a young person and help them achieve their potential as artists and human beings. We will match you up with a mentee based on your skillset e.g. production, songwriting, singing, guitar, keyboard or other.
Music mentoring is such a fulfilling journey that transforms not just your life, but the life of a young person who will gain new musical skills, a musical community and a positive creative outlet.
Mentoring music sessions are held between Monday-Friday, 9am-9pm, either in-person at a youth centre in the Inner West and/or Western Sydney, and/or over Zoom. It’s up to you whether you’d like to run your session in-person or via Zoom, and when.
